Boiler Shop was constructed in the 1820s for the world’s first locomotive works, Robert Stephenson & Company; the crucible of the Industrial Revolution. Rich in engineering history and architectural interest, it is a Grade II* Listed building.
In 2016, owner-custodians, Clouston Group, completed a major restoration and enhancement programme, introducing state-of-the-art facilities to create an exceptional, dynamic space.
Hosting some of the city’s most prestigious and exciting gatherings, from live performances, club nights and exhibitions, to food and drink festivals, Boiler Shop is perfect for ambitious, memorable events and a broad spectrum of cultural uses.
