Our Meetings and Events Team is proud to contribute to IHG’s sustainability initiatives, ensuring that every gathering is not only memorable but also environmentally conscious. To reduce single-use plastic, we’ve placed water coolers in corridors, promoting easy access to refreshing hydration without the need for disposable bottles. In our commitment to waste reduction, pens and notepads are available upon request, minimizing unnecessary usage.
At hotel reception, digital screens provide real-time information, reducing paper waste. For efficient and paperless show rounds, we utilize iPads, offering a seamless and eco-friendly experience. Our transition to digital brochures further minimizes our ecological footprint. At Crowne Plaza, we believe in creating impactful events that align with IHG’s sustainability goals, ensuring a positive impact on both your experience and the planet.
LED LIGHTING – The hotel has undertaken a significant sustainability initiative by transitioning 90% of its lighting to energy-efficient LED technology. This strategic move aims to markedly reduce electricity consumption, aligning with the hotel’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
TOWELS – By reusing towels, you contribute to saving thousands of gallons of water and minimizing the use of detergents. Kindly leave your towels on the rack if you intend to reuse them; otherwise, we’ll gladly provide you with fresh replacements.
BED LINENS – Your bed linens are typically replaced every third day of your stay, but you are welcome to request a change at any time that suits you.
RECYCLING – Thank you for placing your glass, PET bottles, or aluminium cans on the desk for us to recycle. A paper recycling bin is located on meeting room floor.
WASTE MANAGEMENT AND REDUCTION – We enforce waste sorting and recycling initiatives encompassing paper, glass, PET, used oil, food waste, batteries, among others. Our printed materials are crafted using FSC-certified paper, emphasizing our commitment to sustainable practices.
